VLM Terms and Conditions
VLM Designer Rates:
Based on Show Size and or Budget.
- Design Fee, Large show based on Lighting Budget, and Show complexity 10% <> 15%.
- Design Fee, Small show will be based on Days – Minimum of 2 Days at going Day rate.
- PreViz rates will be based on Show Size and complexity.
- Previz computer Rental based on Show – Minimum 1500.00 + shipping.
- Previz of Large Shows – Full Lighting control system is required.
- $800 – $1500 per day for 10 hours.
- OT hr for hours 11-16.
- DT hr after 16 hours.
- All hours are rounded up to the nearest hour.
- Turnaround applies if less than an 8-hour break between calls. The rate will be based on the prevailing rate from the previous call.
- Meals must be at least 1hr in duration to be off the clock. Less than 1/2hr meal breaks will be on the clock.
- VLM will book all Air Travel and will be billed back on the final invoice.
- Any flights over 10 hrs in duration will be booked in business class.
- Any additional Travel expenses (baggage fees, taxis, etc.) will be billed back on the final invoice.
- No discounts for Travel days. Travel days billed as full days.
- Per diem will be provided for all days, including travel days.
- Hotel accommodations must be pre-paid or settled on a master account.
- Any unpaid hotel charges (excluding personal incidental fees) will be billed back including a 20% surcharge.
Please Note:
Additional VLM Crew may be required based on show size. Assistant Designer and Lighting Programmer, Master Electrician and Assistant Electrician may be required.
The VLM Lighting Designer will have approval over additional lighting staff for the production; including Assistant and Associate designers and freelance programmers and technicians.
